{"id":10,"date":"2004-11-05T16:33:59","date_gmt":"2004-11-05T23:33:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.netfluvia.org\/layer8\/?p=10"},"modified":"2004-11-05T16:33:59","modified_gmt":"2004-11-05T23:33:59","slug":"franklin-county-followup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.netfluvia.org\/layer8\/?p=10","title":{"rendered":"Franklin County Followup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/news?tmpl=story&#038;u=\/ap\/20041105\/ap_on_el_pr\/voting_problems\" target=\"_blank\">This update<\/a> includes two notable additions to the <a href=\"http:\/\/layer8.typepad.com\/layer_8\/2004\/11\/bush_gets_4258_.html\">previous<\/a> post about the 1166% (yes, one thousand and some percent) overstatement of the Bush tally in one precinct of Ohio&#8217;s Franklin county:<\/p>\n<p> 1) The machine used in this precinct is only used in this county<br \/>\n 2) It&#8217;s not a Diebold machine<\/p>\n<p>#2 is more a curiosity than anything, and #1 makes it seem less likely that a similar problem happened throughout Ohio (that is, at least as long as one assumes this was a non-intentional error).<\/p>\n<p>However, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/ELECTION\/2004\/pages\/results\/states\/OH\/P\/00\/county.000.html#39049\" target=\"_blank\">CNN&#8217;s turnout numbers for Franklin county<\/a> show 512,599 votes counted.
